About

Where the story began:

The name ‘Pursukoon’ reflects our core belief in finding inner peace and tranquillity amidst life’s challenges. ‘Pursukoon’ is derived from the Arabic word ‘پرسکون’ (pronounced pur-suh-koon), which translates to tranquil’ or ‘peaceful’ in English.

Our podcast began with a shared vision among a group of passionate individuals from the Southeast Asian community who recognised the urgent need to address mental health challenges in our midst. Drawing from our own personal journeys, cultural backgrounds and scientific research, we came together to create a platform that celebrates resilience, promotes open dialogue, and provides valuable insights into navigating social, psychological, and mental well-being. Our mission is rooted in empathy and a deep understanding of the unique cultural dynamics that influence mental wellness in Southeast Asian contexts.
